Team Support Midlands are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of their client for a Commercial Contracts Manager on a permanent basis. Previous experience within the building industry is essential.

Salary: £32,500 per annum

Key objectives of the role: Financial monitoring and control of the contracts

Responsible for the life journey and delivery of commercial contracts – from intial stages to completion

Ensuring Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality compliance is maintained and the Company’s procedures and objectives are achieved

Manage the Key Commercial Accounts Team including procurement duties and coordination of Commercial Projects

Direct the Key Commercial Accounts Team including an Administrator, Quotes handler, Survey Representative and team of Subcontractors

Plan projects to ensure they are programmed to a level of detail necessary for the site team to deliver without delay

Ensure procurement and reconciliation of materials is carried out to the best value and to prevent delays

Ensure on-site teams compliance with Company commercial policies and procedures

Ensure a commercial plan is in place and monitored daily for the succesful delivery of each project within budget, controlling costs to maximise profitability

Ensure correct commercial engagement of subcontractors

Implement the risk management process, manage health and safety complaince to promote a stringent health & safety culture

Preparing and being accountable for all Health & Safety documentation, CCP, Method Statements & Risk Assessments

Liaise directly with customers and clients to keep all parties up to date on the progress of projects

Ensure that all works are carried out in a manner which minimises customer impact

Supervise the feedback on planned work and provide updates to the business on the timelines of projects

Ensure budgetary targets are achieved and provide analytical data to demonstrate SLA’s and KPI’s are being met

Identify commercial initiatives and opportunities

Identify and deliver efficiency improvement initiatives where required

Build and maintain relationships with both the client and customer

Communicate daily with the Head of Operations on the development of jobs and schedule of works

Skills, Knowledge and Experience: Extensive experience of managing projects within commercial and residential sectors

Experienced procurement skills. A proven record in procuring materials/services at the most competitive rates within a Project role is essential

Technical ability to manage and direct the on-site team and each process within the commercial division

Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects at a time

Innovative and adaptable to change with a professional and dedicated attitude

Ability to work flexibly and under pressure with strong organisational skills to manage workload

High degree of accuracy with a commitment to high standards

Possess strong communication skills and consistently offer an excellent standard of customer care

Ability to travel to site as and when required

Strong analytical skills

Good administrative and IT skills with a high level of competence in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
